Somewhere in the articles which I have ever read said something about the youth that I think everyone also experiences.

“Thanh Xuan is the combination of seven ego: the first is bright, the second is sad, the third is beautiful, the fourth is adventurous, the fifth is strong, the sixth is weak, and the last one is – maturing”… Experienced by many storms in the life, we would realize that we could just understand and be experienced in observing where is the safe and sound shore which needs to seek as we matured.

My groom told me things which are similar to that. Experienced the lavish, frivolous things, the man suddenly would like to come back to what is simple, gentle, pure as well as his youth. After the time of tired roam, he unexpectedly realized where was the peaceful and returned to his first love after the mistakes. And I called it: “Come back to basic!”

“He” is a seasoned photographer while she is a young, beautiful girl with a romantic love. They come together after so many times of separation – brokenness, ebullience – forgiveness and then sustainable link. All these feelings helped me think about creating “soil” which is the root of the people with the barren, chapped characters… but also is the place where the new buds are deeply hidden and grow.

To correctly implement the concept that the groom and bride shared, I found a lot of catalysts from Mother Nature myself because these materials always make the most simple and exquisite ideas, yet still represent coherence of the theme that I would like to navigate to – the return of the origin. I found extremely simple things from daily life such as hay, straw, or the abandoned blocks of coal bearing rural character. The styles of “retro” and “vintage” were cleverly combined and exactly represented with their desire for their wedding day.

Besides the handmade designs, the team tried to bring the very simple items for the wedding day on that day in the precint of a small coffee house. From the 2D timber flower entrance embellishing a few of flowers. The backdrop written love story was carved in earthenware, combined with the flower pillars to express the meaning of the proliferation on the baren soil or the impressive reception desk which was covered with hay, straw, rice mill, sewing machine table, money box which was made of Bau Truc pottery … In addition there were also many other designed items that brought rustic and meaningful simplicity.

I compared the banquet space of that day as a countryside piece of music which was played sincerely and vividly. There were no the luxurious crystal light or the light of other traditional restaurants, but the guests were also overwhelmed as entering a space that was apparent to be very old. In the cheers of friends, the couple was tightly holding hands and would look after for their love.
